Jazz enthusiasts and music lovers alike are in for a treat as acclaimed Australian piano trio, Trichotomy, make their debut appearance at Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton this March. With a 20-year history of performing together and collaborations with jazz, folk, and classical artists worldwide, Trichotomy has established themselves as one of the most innovative jazz groups in the Australian music scene.
Following the success of Xhosa Cole’s performance last month, Trichotomy is the second performance in the Spring Jazz Season lineup. Known to UK audiences for their celebrated albums on the NAIM label, the group has repeatedly toured clubs around the country.
Trichotomy is a group that thrives on the spontaneity of the trio format, as noted by The Guardian, who praised the group’s ability to “vivaciously balance thematic eloquence with tight-knit polyphonic sophistication.” Their new work, TO VANISH, showcases the group’s ability to deftly blend acoustic and electronic soundscapes, creating a distinctive sound full of melodic detail and rich improvised interplay.
The group features Sean Foran on piano/electronics, John Parker on drums/electronics, and Samuel Vincent on bass/electronics. With tours to Japan, China, Canada, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, Trichotomy is back in the UK, all the way from down under, bringing their signature modern trio sound to Newhampton Arts Centre.
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the detailed, surprising, and consistently inventive music of Trichotomy. Get your tickets now and be part of an unforgettable jazz performance. See more jazz music in Wolverhampton here
