Jasmine Myra: Rising to the Top of the Contemporary UK Jazz Scene
Jasmine Myra is one of the fastest-rising young talents in the contemporary UK jazz scene. Saxophonist, composer and band leader, she has won her critical acclaim and a growing fan base. As part of our jazz programme this spring, we are excited to feature Myra’s original instrumental music, which has a euphoric and uplifting sound, showcasing her exceptional talent and creativity.
Lady Maisery and the Vera Van Heeringen Trio: A Diverse and High-Quality Folk Lineup
Our folk programme features two diverse and high-quality acts: Lady Maisery and the Vera Van Heeringen Trio. Lady Maisery is a trio of female vocalists known for their powerful harmonies and innovative arrangements, while the Vera Van Heeringen Trio offers a unique blend of folk, bluegrass, and Americana. These talented artists showcase the breadth and diversity of the folk genre, and we are thrilled to feature them as part of our live events.
Josie Long: Breaking Stereotypes in Stand-Up Comedy
Stand-up comedy is an industry where women have historically been underrepresented. As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, we are proud to feature Josie Long in our stand-up comedy season. Known for her sharp wit and feminist perspective, Long’s unique voice and perspective challenge stereotypes and offer a refreshing take on the comedy scene.
All Girl Sounds: A Female Led Club Night
On International Women’s Day, we are proud to feature Ladyland All Girl Sounds, a female-led club night to celebrate IWD2023. All profits for this event will go to Wolverhampton-based charity, The Haven. Open to all, it’s going to be a night filled with amazing music and dancing. Secure your spot on the dancefloor here.
