Brilliant pianist Sultan Stevenson, still only at the tender age of 23, has captivated the jazz scene with his incredible performances and original musical compositions.

Over the last 3-4 years he has emerged as the future superstar of the jazz world. He has played sold-out shows around London and the south of England, including an album launch at the Jazz Café in front of more than 500 punters. He also toured in Ireland in October 2023 to great acclaim, with Mercury Award nominee Denys Baptiste, and now as we enter 2025 he is set to conquer Europe with huge demand from Festivals and clubs.

Sultan Stevenson is young, fresh, hip and very cool, he has great appeal to both young and older audiences alike.

A Londoner with roots in the Caribbean, Sultan is a product of both Tomorrow’s Warriors and the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy. He is influenced by the work of many of the greats of the jazz piano, including McCoy Tyner, Geri Allen, Herbie Hancock and Kenny Kirkland.

Sultan’s debut album, Faithful One helped to earn him a Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2023 for best newcomer. Now Sultan has signed with the prestigious label Edition Records and will release El Roi in March 2025. An album critics are already calling “… a gigantic step forward…”
Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of the brightest stars of his generation live.

…a vivid, dramatic piece of work, melodic and free from dissonance, replete with both light and shade, and infused with the strength and confidence of a far more seasoned musician. Jazzwise, on Faithful One

“There is so much to enjoy on this release, so many changes of mood and tempo. I particularly enjoyed the mellow ambience of ‘He has made me Whole’” – Alan Musson, UK Vibe

“Looking ahead – what’s the biggest newcomer splash to land on the UK jazz scene in ages? That’s easy. It’s Faithful One by Sultan Stevenson. Why so good? Well, it all comes down to individuality and making sense of a style that the young pianist and composer Sultan Stevenson has immersed himself in’” – Marlbank (****)
