Print Fest Wolverhampton is the launch of a new Printmaking Festival which will showcase the work of printmakers throughout the region and beyond. The festival aims to celebrate printmaking in all its forms, from traditional to contemporary.

The 3-day festival (Friday 8th – Sunday 10th November 2024), will showcase handmade original prints from both professional and hobbyist printmakers. Our celebration commences on Friday 8th November at Newhampton Art Centre in Wolverhampton and will include the launch of the exhibition with music, Meet the Artist and Printmaking demonstrations. The exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to buy affordable, original art from local artists.

The idea for PFW came about after Jacky visited Printfest Ulverston in 2022. She has a passion for collaborating with other artists and is always looking for opportunities to expand a thriving arts hub in Wolverhampton and the surrounding area. It was her visit to Ulverston that inspired the idea of organising a local Print Festival at Newhampton Arts Centre. Clare, Lindsay and Sue were willing committee recruits and after many meetings, we are delighted to introduce our first Festival in 2024. Newhampton’s Gallery Hall is the perfect venue for our exhibition and we hope that Print Fest Wolverhampton becomes a main event in the annual Printmaking Calendar.

Jacky Fellows is a printmaker/mixed media artist based at Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton. She studied at Wolverhampton University, graduating in 2018 with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art. She works within the local community delivering printmaking workshops to people of all ages and abilities.
